The castle from the 16th century. The peculiarities of the castle are the round tower, bastions and renaissance defensive walls in the shape of a triangle, one of the oldest of this type in all of Central Europe. The most famous ruler of Turjak was Andrej of Turjak. He will lead the army that defeated the Turks at Sisak in 1593. Knightly tournaments are organized every year to commemorate this battle.
